New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees has been named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week, the NFL announced Wednesday.
In his 13th season from Purdue, this is Brees' 18th career Player of the Week Award. Since joining the Saints in 2006, Brees has won 16 Player of Week Awards, tied for most in the NFL with New England Patriots QB Tom Brady.
Brees completed 34 of 41 passes (82.9 percent) for 392 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions for a 139.0 passer rating in the Saints' 49-17 win over the Dallas Cowboys.
It marked the 15th game in his career with at least four touchdown passes and no interceptions, tied with Brady for the most in NFL history. Brees' teams are 15-0 in those contests.
Brees has thrown at least two touchdown passes in 21 consecutive games at the Superdome, the longest streak at a single venue in NFL history.
He has passed for at least 350 yards 39 times in his career, including 13 games with at least 390 yards.
Brees led an offense that recorded an NFL-record 40 first downs and gained a franchise-best 625 total net yards.
Brees is also up for the FedEx Air Player of the Week. Vote for Brees 这里.
